Nadia was married last Thursday in Nashville. I learned so much about the Muslim wedding ceremonies through photographing her celebration to Omer at Durego's in Brentwood. It is so interesting to me. Females do not participate in the actual wedding ceremony, nor do they even attend. Nadia added some of the American tradition to her celebration. She wore a beautiful white bridal gown for photos with her husband and family. Then when guests arrived she wore her Somalian traditional wrap, green adorned with sparkly gold beads. Very ornate, in fact all of the ladies' gowns were so colorful. I will have more photos to show later, but here are a few.
