John and Michelle had a romantic wedding ceremony at CJ's Off The Square last Thursday evening. It was cold and rainy outside, but so full of warmth and love on the inside. CJ's was decked out for Christmas and added a sweet touch for the couple as they said their vows. I loved it when the bride could not help herself and kissed her groom on the hand. How sweet!

I am SO very busy doing family portraits, but in the mist of families, I have been able to also do some seniors here in Franklin, TN. JP was so much fun because he wanted to add his American Flag. It was quite windy, which helped show the flag more. I used more dramatic lighting for effect in the photos with his flag. Here are some of my favorites.

Happy anniversary to Morgan and Mark who married 4 years ago on Halloween. They added some masks into their photos and reception to celebrate. I loved working with the masks, and then the girls choreographed a Thriller dance! How fun! The ceremony took place at Owens Chapel in Brentwood, TN.

When I began photos this morning it was 43 degrees, felt like 36 (according to Weather.com). I was very concerned that we'd have trouble getting the little ones to cooperate with it being so chilly. But luckily mom dressed her boys in several layers and he boys didn't get cold until the end. Same happened with my later session. The girls had a lot less layers, and it had warmed up to mid 50's, but it was still cool for most, especially since we've been used to 60plus! But we managed to get some great photos, including this 12 person family photo. The littles ones wouldn't smile, the 2 year old wanted to keep getting off the bench and running so I had to lure her back with candy, and one of the babies was really sick and did not want to be there. With all that was going on, this family photo turned out SUPER! I was so fortunate to have this family, I photographed their wedding 5? years ago I believe. I will have to find their photos to post. Thank you to all of the families that braved the cold to get some family photos today!
I am in-between family sessions right now and wanted to show you what I am anticipating with my fall weddings this year! The color is not quite there yet, but look at the colors we had last fall for this gorgeous wedding in Kentucky! I just love it! Happy anniversary Dana and Justin!
